There are exceptions, though. The Creator-class spells. These spells have no known origin and are immensely powerful, leading many to believe that they are spells created by God rather than man. The exact number of Creator-class spells is unknown, as they must be discovered instead of developed. All spells are most likely not known, and the methods of casting them vary greatly. While it may seem that just anyone could learn and cast these spells, it usually takes years of research and training to even scratch the surface of them.
The foremost of all Creator-class spells is the Blessing of All Creation. As the name would suggest, this spell causes the target to be blessed by everything in existence- from the smallest insect to the largest monster. Everything will work for the benefit of the target of the Blessing, preventing any harm from coming to it. This does not mean following orders or aiding it in accomplishing its goals, should the target be a sentient being, only keeping the blessed person from harm.
A sentient being can make an attempt to harm the blessed person or item, but will always fail. If a blacksmith attempted to strike a piece of metal that had been blessed, they would start the swing, but then their body would pull back- even if it meant tearing their own arms off to stop it.
Due to the immense power that the Blessing has, it takes an incredible amount of magical energy to keep it in effect for a prolonged period of time. A person under the effect of the Blessing is more or less invulnerable, so it is the objective of many Mages (and even politicians), however it is extremely difficult to keep it active for more than a few hours, let alone a day or two. A lifetime under its effects is absolutely impossible under current magical constraints.
The next well-known Creator-class spell is the counterpart to the Blessing of All Creation, the Wrath of All Creation. As the name would suggest, this spell causes the target to be cursed by everything in existence. It is regarded as a death sentence, as victims will be killed by anything nearby in short order. Even if they are not, they will eventually succumb to the urge to destroy themselves.
Sentient beings can resist the urge to cause harm to the target of this spell, but as they get nearer to it the urge becomes stronger. Laws regarding this spell are somewhat lax due to the immense amount of magical energy it requires, it is usually only cast by a group of Mages as a form of execution for a particularly heinous crime. An individual or group that kills someone under the effect of the Wrath of All Creation is not held culpable, but the one(s) who cast the spell will be, should it have been an unlawful casting.
The Authority of All Creation is the next one. This spell will cause all living things to follow the orders of the one under its effects, or to try to as best as they can. The urge to follow these orders is absolute, although it only lasts as long as the spell lasts. The spell requires much more magical energy than the other spells listed, and can usually only be used to issue one or two orders.
This spell can also be used as a form of execution, should the one under its effects utter the command "die", every cell in the body of those ordered will immediately die. It is an incredibly swift and painless death, and is actually considered one of the most humane methods of execution. There is no chance of resuscitation for those affected by such a command.
Other commands will be followed at any cost, even if it requires tearing one's own body apart to follow the orders. "Lift that boulder" would be impossible for most people, but they would try to do so even if it killed them.
Even if the orders given by the one under the effects of this spell are not understood, say they are in another language, they will be followed. The spell is limited also in that it cannot make a person say something they do not know- "who is my mother?" would not be answerable by someone who does not know the answer.
The Voice of All Creation is the next spell. It allows the one under its effects to communicate with any living creature, at least any that is capable of communication. Although the name of the spell is "Voice", it also includes listening. This spell requires the least amount of magical energy to keep active, and is used by many high-class diplomats.
Knowledge of All Creation allows one under its effects to gain knowledge about whatever they see. It is not passively gained; however, one must intentionally think about learning about a specific thing or person in order to learn about it, otherwise the instant a person came under its effects they would be overwhelmed with information.
This spell only grants objective information. "What is the meaning of life?" and other questions with subjective answers, or answers that differ for different people, would not be answered. The more detailed the knowledge gained, the more magical energy is used up, making this spell last significantly shorter depending on what is learned. One could learn about dozens of simple rocks, but a sword with a long history of use might drain the magical energy all at once.
